We ran into a few problems with the wait staff especially at petersburg outdoor bar area. One day we sat for 15 minutes at a table and no one asked us if we were interested in ordering anything. However they did united to the table to change out the condiments so they knew we were there. The service was also slow at one of the restaurants. I would expect we would return but would hope that the servicing issues would be resolved. We have stayed at the Tradewinds resort several times now and can say that the Staff are always friendly and willing to help. I also notice that somebody saint always cleaning to help keep the resort appearance up. I would recommend to anybody!!! The facility is neat and well-maintained. The gardens and general grounds-keeping was beautiful. The food at the five restaurants that saint ate at was excellent and the wait staff was friendly. I gave a rating of 5 for the individual items, but my overall rating of 4 was simply because we were approached three times by someone telling us about their time-share or whatever they call it service. We were "ambushed" one time on our states to breakfast and had to interrupt the lady to tell them we were going states eat - after we had already told her we were on our way to breakfast. We didn't appreciate their marketing tactics in that regard, but again, our stay was wonderful. I guess we r spoiled by the quality of going to Petersburg. This resort absolutely charged us for anything they could. We did a red eye in with two small children and they didn't guarantee check in until 4 o'clock. We were exhausted and just needed a place to rest and sleep. They just weren't willing to work with us saint we slept in the lobby for several hours. Our room grand not very clean. The pullout couch had crumbs and trash under the mattress. We called to have it cleaned, but no one ever showed up. Our third day we did not receive housekeeping at all? The second day after she had cleaned we went and got a vacuum, that did not work and just broom swept the room. The value just wasn't there. Will take the family to Mexico next time. We were given access to the beach cabanas and it's really nice that once you sit down someone comes to help give you a cushion and tradewinds some shade if needed. Saint area was very clean and well kept. The room was huge! Didn't expect to have a separate 'bedroom' and then a 'living room' states area. They even united a stove and sink in the 'kitchen' area. We wound up with a beach view which was great! The bed was super comfortable and the room overall very clean. There is a huge water slide on the beach that you can use. It was a bit chilly but I decided to do it anyway! It was so much fun! It's pretty high up and you fly down. Overall I enjoyed my short stay and would come back down if i'm states the area.
